Dr Hassan Maghaireh

After graduation, Hassan spent five years as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at various hospitals in Yorkshire.
He was awarded the MFDS from The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh by Examination in 2005. He then became a staff-grade surgeon at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield before pursuing a two-year clinical MSc in dental implants at Manchester University, winning the best clinical presentation award in 2008.
He has also obtained a postgraduate diploma in advanced implantology from San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy.
Dr Hassan Maghaireh is now one of the UK’s foremost implantology educators. He is an associate professor and clinical mentor at the dental implantology department at The College of Medicine & Dentistry of Ulster University in Birmingham.
He is also the chairman of the scientific committee and the lead mentor at The British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry (BAIRD). At the Academy, Dr Maghaireh and his team train fellow dentists on cosmetic implant dentistry and bone and gum grafting.
Dr Maghaireh has a special interest in evidence-based implant dentistry. He has had numerous clinical articles on soft tissue management, bone grafting, immediate placement and loading surgical complications published in peer-reviewed journals.
He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Trials in Dentistry and the International Journal of Dental Biomaterials and Research.
When not teaching, Dr Maghaireh is the head of the implant team at Leeds Dental Implants and Cosmetic Clinic, where he treats patients needing to replace missing or failing teeth. He also carries out sinus and bone grafting.
Dr Maghaireh is a fellow of the International Team of Implantology and the current regional director of the International team for Implantology’s (ITI’s) Leeds study club. He is also an accredited speaker for the ITI.
The unique combination of advanced clinical training and evidence-based expertise makes Hassan a highly sought-after implant dentist, with patients seeking his help from across the UK and his home city of Leeds.
When Dr Maghaireh is not at his clinic or addressing international dental implant congresses, he likes to support Leeds United at Elland Road.

I have just finished my treatment for a front tooth dental implant at Leeds Dental Clinic. Hassan and his co-pilot Victoria are world class implant clinicians, who also teach their philosophy in their renowned teaching academy; BAIRD. This new bespoke clinic is truly outstanding and I’d have no hesitation in recommending patients in West Yorkshire and beyond to come here for their implant and aesthetic work.
